Yes, I finally read it. And ya know, I actually thought it made the whole series worth reading.
I couldn't tell from the first two books if it's just meant to be a gruesome love story or if, like I was hoping, there was political substance coming. I won't spoil the ending here. But I will say it was neither the perfectly cheery ending or the perfectly black and dark ending, both of which I was dreading. Collins somehow made it happen. She tied it together with a pretty realistic message about people, power, war, pain, sacrifice, consequences and a little hope thrown in.
